What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension Seton you will have the opportunity to lead the daily operations of surgical suites in support of surgical procedures.
Leads and coordinates shift operations including schedules and resources.
Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Assists surgeons during surgery, providing required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon and assisting with hemostasis.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
What You Will Need
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
One or more of the following:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Central Service Tech.
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
- 1 year of experience required.
