IBM Manager of Transition Managers in Austin, Texas
Welcome to IBM. We have a fast-paced challenging environment where you get to interface with many different types of clients. In this role, the candidate will work with External Clients, IBM Engagement, Peer Transition and Transformation Managers, and IBM Delivery teams.
Our Manager of Transition Managers - First Line manager will be responsible for Costa Rica and North America dual transition and transformation team. Must drive highly skill project managers in their day to day work. The team is responsible for transitioning external clients IT infrastructure into IBM's IT support environments. Must be proficient with Microsoft Project and able to review, approve and modify team's project plans. Must travel and interface with clients, as needed, across North America. Candidate will have experience reviewing contractual documents, and driving his team in the development of project plans to meet contractual requirements. Will work with employees and stake holders to ensure the baseline budget is adequate. Candidate will then monitor the team's budgets to ensure they remain on or below targets. Candidate must have experience escalating critical requests thru a complex management team to ensure project success.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
PMI Certified, ITIL Certified, Scrum Master Certified
Must be Bi-lingual Spanish and English (both written and verbal)
Must have experience as a functional manager of a very large Costa Rica team, and be familiar with their HR requirements
At least five years of IBM transition and transformation First Line Management experience from Costa Rica
At least 10 years dedicated to Information Technology support ranging from Process & Infrastructure Transformation, Server Builds, Server Build Automation, Data Center Relocation, Continuous Improvement, and Delivery Operations
At least 7 years in IT Project Management driving local and global cross-functional teams
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Experience with working in multiple multi-layered complex large companies such as IBM, HP, etc..
