What You Will Do
MFT Senior Developer Position
Knowledge of managed file transfer protocols and automation capabilities to help Ascension securely integrate various types of data and systems to support various business teams including Financial, Clinical, Marketing, HR, Data Engineering, Security, and Archiving. The position requires a technical background along with working knowledge in Windows, Linux, File Transfer Protocols, Powershell, VB, Python, GSUTIL, HealthConnect and Systems Security awareness.
This position is looking for a detail oriented, self-motivated, candidate who is interested in leveraging various technical skills to help meet the needs of systems integration utilizing the Enterprise File Transfer Platform. Including but not limited to, file transfer, file filtration, file transformations, and file encryption.
System Integration - May be responsible for coordination of tasks and resources related to system integration, validation of testing and implementation.
Data File Transfer utilizing MOVEit, Data file manipulation/transformation (using PS 5, 7 and/or VB Script)
Data Content Transformation utilizing Health Connect
Logical Data Flow Design
SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) - Have a proficient understanding of multiple system/application development life cycles.
Data Quality - Maintain data quality at all times.

Works in collaboration with the team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts. Data Confidentiality/Security - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Documentation - Complete detail-oriented documentation for new and moderately complex processes when necessary. Responsible for the quality and validity of produced documents.
Ability to extract and document customer/business requirements and needs for useSecond and Third Level Support (Including Maintenance Activities)
Independently triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues. Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in resolution of Level 2 and Level 3 issues. Ability to handle problem management as appropriate.
Process Improvement - Ability to contribute to process improvement efforts. Create and update processes, as necessary. Ability to independently recognize opportunities for process improvements.
Self-Development - Responsible for continuous self-study, training, partnering with more senior members of the team, and/or seeking out opportunities to broaden scope to stay up to date with industry and organizational trends. Seeks feedback from senior team members for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors.
Typically has 10+ years experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.
Knowledge of File Transfer Protocols, Encryption, and Systems Security knowledge/awareness for Microsoft and Linux preferred
Exposure to Progress MOVEit MFT platform, 2 or more years experience preferred
Experience with APIs, PowerShell, VB Scripting, Python, GSUTIL, Health Connect, preferred
Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.
Ability to work independently and in a team based environment. Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC) of one of the information technology professional disciplines and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT integration.
Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
Once established in the role, the candidate will be on call once every eight weeks.
What You Will Need
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience preferred
