Assist in coordinating and managing education and outreach activities at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC).
Participate in developing funding through federal, state, or private sources for programs to promote STEM education and in particular develop technical computing and modeling skills for the future workforce. Develop and implement standards for attainment of program goals and objectives. Recommend new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities. Coordinate education and training activities related to TACC participation in partnerships and programs such as XSEDE, DesignSafe, and the TACC industrial affiliates program. Coordinate TACC-led K-12 STEM programs, including CODE at TACC and educator outreach. Develop metrics for evaluation and review of courses, techniques, and materials to determine effectiveness and implementing program changes as indicated. Maintain frequent interaction with University departments, special groups and external agencies in support of program objectives. Plan and facilitate annual short-course training activities with other TACC groups. Give presentations and tours of TACC facilities to UT student groups as well as visitors from educational institutions. Identify and pursue opportunities to partner with other education outlets and develop K-12 projects with local, regional, and/or national impact.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination, or master's degree and three years of above experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
