Charles Schwab Sr. Product Owner - Digital - Schwab Intelligent Portfolio in Austin, Texas
Your Opportunity
Charles Schwab's Digital Advice Product Management team is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of our automated and digital advice products. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we drive to change both how Schwab operates and how the industry serves investors. In this role, you will help influence and execute on our digital advice roadmap. You will be responsible for overseeing implementation of elements of the product roadmap for the Schwab Intelligent Portfolios product suite.
What you are good at
The Senior Product Manager acts as a leader and will work cross-functionally with leaders from other Schwab business units, Technology, Legal, Compliance and UX Design teams. The candidate will work with our offer management team and various technology partners to deliver cohesive and personalized experiences for Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium clients.
This role requires the passion to understand complex partnerships, build long-term relationships across the organization and negotiate creative solutions to deliver quickly on client experience objectives.
Efforts are broad in scope and require creativity and world-class strategic thinking, as well as strong product management and leadership skills. The successful candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic about innovation and also have experience with financial services. They will be self-motivated, results oriented and able to independently lead major strategic initiatives. Strong client-focus is a must.
Senior Product Managers interact with members of Schwab’s leadership team and executive partners within the business units. Projects are focused on driving growth and operating leverage for Schwab, while delivering great digital experiences and better outcomes for investors and advisors. In this role, you will be part of an organization leading Schwab’s digital transformation in the fast-paced digital landscape of financial services. You will have the opportunity to apply your strong critical thinking skills and aptitude to become expert in understanding the needs of clients and advisors and defining best-in-class digital experiences to address these needs.
You will partner with teams across multiple functions to develop a cohesive product strategy and product roadmap with a keen focus on defining business outcomes and successful criteria measurement. You will manage and prioritize a backlog of features across multiple technology scrum teams: writing user stories, refining the backlog, creating experiences with User Experience partners, and overseeing the QA and User Acceptance Testing process

Ability to make decisions and progress in the face of ambiguous and at times overlapping priorities; i.e. Managing to fixed scope and date scenarios
Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to leadership teams in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner.
Highly skilled at working cross functionally with technology, service, marketing and product teams to create, implement and evolve our reporting solutions offering tangible, measureable client results.
Strong digital product management skills including experience with design thinking and client journeys
Experience in Agile development practices leading multiple teams as Product Owner
Experience in project management and managing multiple projects concurrently a plus
Experience with Jira Atlassian solutions a plus
Experience with financial planning systems and software is a plus
Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Bachelor and post graduate degrees are a plus
