Facebook Strategic Sourcing Manager – Partnerships & Global Operations in Austin, Texas

Facebook is currently searching for a seasoned professional to work in Finance to be part of the team that is responsible for management of our key strategic vendors, agreement negotiations, professional services, and purchases. This person will work closely with key Partnerships and Global Operations teams meeting their fast-paced needs in relation to strategic sourcing strategies and contract/statement of work execution.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop Category strategies for the Partnerships and Global Operations services category and lead the development of sourcing strategies and Sub-Category roadmaps

  2. Identify, develop and deploy best practice supplier management, procurement and Sub-Category management practices

  3. Work cross functionally with adjacent Global Sourcing teams to establish Preferred Suppliers program to channel spend appropriately

  4. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Sub-Category plans in alignment with business units

  5. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to strategically manage spend

  6. Prepare sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work, amendments, renewals and related procurement documents

  7. Manage complex sourcing projects and lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company

  8. Develop and analyze spend data, internal requirements, and external supply markets to develop strategic sourcing strategies and plans aligned with the business goals

  9. Develop training decks and facilitate training sessions

  10. Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers

  11. Identify and report key performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement ensuring alignment with sourcing plans

  12. Serve as a procurement SME to key stakeholders by identifying their critical business requirements and providing procurement services to meet/exceed their expectations

  13. Perform user and supplier compliance audits as appropriate

  14. Provide regular communication and training on processes and systems

  15. Perform the supplier management function in collaboration with the business

  16. Liaise with FP&A, Legal teams, and Vendor Security teams

  17. Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 5+ years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement for IT, Software, Risk Operations, Localization, Content, Events, Media, Marketing, Professional and or Creative services

  3. 2+ years experience in Category Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong conceptual experience coupled with a proven track record of implementing sourcing, strategic, and process improvement initiative

  2. Global Experience

  3. Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management

  4. Experience multitasking and managing multiple tasks concurrently

  5. Effective negotiator - proven track record in fact-based negotiations or equivalent contract analysis experience

  6. Experience in handling a variety of agreements including but not limited to IT, media, marketing and creative, professional services, market research, events

  7. Demonstrated experience exceeding the demands of various internal stakeholders across multiple business units and regions

  8. Executive presence, presentation and engagement experience

  9. Experience thinking creatively to solve business challenges

  10. Highly motivated and experience thinking clearly under pressure

  11. Experience thinking strategically and operationally/tactically

  12. Experience driving change and improve end-to-end processes

  13. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and Tableau financial modeling

  14. Strong skills in quantitative and problem-solving skills as well as project management

  15. Experience taking large quantities of data, perform analysis and make succinct recommendations on sourcing opportunities

  16. Interpersonal skills

  17. Experience quickly and efficiently work global contract documents through execution ensuring risks are mitigated and high value is procured
