Deloitte Tool Engineer/ Developer in Austin, Texas

Work you’ll do

As a Tool Engineer/ Developer, you will be at the front lines with our clients

• Developing cloud security strategies to solve unique cyber risk issues/problems

• Conducting cloud security readiness assessments and analysis of prospective Cloud platforms/environments

• Assisting in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support Cloud platform adoption

• Designing and developing Cloud specific security policies, standards and procedures e.g., account management, password/key management, to vulnerability/threat assessment

• Executing on Cloud security engagements across the lifecycle – strategy, design, implementation and operations

• Operating across both technical and management leadership capacities

• Be the ‘Go To’ on industry trends around cyber risks and Cloud security

• Identify evolving threat signals in the noise and recommend courses of action to further investigate and mitigate threats

• Support tool and application development supporting analyst activities focused on threat hunting using large-scale data analytics

• Interface with client advanced cyber analytics services and will be a part of a broader team of software developers and cyber security engineers

• Work well independently and possess a solid understanding of networking, cyber security concepts, secure coding practice, and cyber threat intelligence fundamentals

• Innovate new machine learning models, tools, and analytics tools

Qualifications

Required:

• 3 years’ total experience in coding development for use in analytics

• Experience or understanding of real-time analytics and business intelligence platforms

• Python programming capabilities

• Previous experience Building a Splunk Application or Technical Add-on

• Basic understanding of xml – Particular use within Splunk apps

• Basic Java and CSS for use in Splunk

• Certifications Desired but not required: Networking , Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Security

Analytics:

  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases as well as basic programming and scripting languages (i.e. Python)

  • Familiarization with large-scale data analytics, graph theory concepts and applications

  • Demonstrated data mining experience (Data Auditing, Aggregation, Validation and Reconciliation, Advanced Modeling Techniques, Testing, Presenting/Reporting)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Splunk and Commercial Threat intelligence Feed APIs

  • Experience in any of the following areas:

• ICS/SCADA - monitoring, sensing, analyzing

• IOT (BYOD, Smart houses/cities, wearables, hubs, etc.)

• Red-teaming
