Stratasys Manufacturing Engineer - Stratasys Direct - Belton in Belton, Texas
Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer performs technical activities leading to new or improved processes, quality systems or products. The Manufacturing Engineer may work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing support, coordination and liaison activities within the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Maintains existing manufacturing processes including procedures, fixtures, layouts for a product line(s)
Completes technical activities leading to new or improved processes that have significant impact on capacity, cost and quality objectives
Conducts process reviews to assess process status, schedule, costs, and quality.
Resolves technical production issues that affect production quality, cost and cycle time.
Utilizes problem solving tools such as six sigma/DMAIC to analyze and execute changes.
Participates in continuous improvement activities that lead to improvements in manufacturing systems.
Standardizes problem resolutions throughout production as appropriate.
Maintains required communication with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing. Has understanding of how these functions interact in order to complete objectives.
Solicits various functional areas for support with minimal guidance and communicates a sense of urgency to the appropriate levels.
Participates in design for manufacturability (DFMA) reviews and recommends design changes to ensure compatibility of design requirements with manufacturing capabilities and production cost objectives.
Implements ECN's into production.
Documents and supports deviations and rework as needed.
Participates in the identification and process control of key design features and manufacturing processes.
Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
Incorporate new methods or processes to improve existing operations.
Serves as integral member of team providing input to decisions relating to design, materials, testing, and all other aspects of product development.
May direct work team consisting of engineers, designers, technicians, project managers, quality inspectors, and production operators.
Ensures all government guidelines and procedures are being followed at all stages of the project.
Trains production personnel on new or existing methods.
Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other information to facilitate the production process.

Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attends all safety trainings related to the job.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
2 years’ experience as an Associate Engineer or equivalent in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including knowledge of Solidworks or other CAD software.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Ability to work well with others.

Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff, utilizing a computer workstation and various software applications. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor. May spend some of the work day on the manufacturing floor.
Movement of light parts or assemblies as required.
