The Process Technologies Group (PTG) markets and sells filtration, separation and coalescing products into the refining, oil & gas, aviation, marine, mining, chemical and other sub-markets. A key element to growth is the successful promotion of PTG products in each of these verticals.

PURPOSE

To direct and coordinate the operation and proper use, allocation and management of all filter fabrication departments’ employees, manufacturing equipment and tools, and other resources to ensure that established processes and procedures are followed to safely, expeditiously and efficiently produce a quality product while meeting production and shipment plans. Employee will support this mission utilizing our Trust, Bias for Action and Entrepreneurial Cultural Attributes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties include all those associated with all filter fabrication departments’ Lead Person positions, plus the following:

  • Promote and support all aspects of Facet’s Management System.

  • Ensure safety is constant and underlying across all departmental processes and procedures.

  • Direct and coordinate department work schedules and assignments to meet current and projected production and shipping requirements.

  • Review and distribute jobs orders to applicable departments.

  • Review drawings and job routings for accuracy.

  • Coordinate material and parts availability, as required.

  • Coordinate movement of products from production to inspection.

  • Communication with peers and day shift to ensure smooth transition between shifts

  • Check quality of work performed by subordinates.

  • Ensure that production records are maintained and updated.

  • Implement and maintain cost reduction, 5S, lean and production flow improvements.

  • Assess, evaluate, plan and coordinate production facility layout for optimal efficiency.

  • Ensure new employees receive adequate, timely and progressive training; and department members are cross trained, as required.

  • Establish, direct and coordinate employee job training based on annual training plan.

  • Conduct timely and effective employee evaluation and mentoring programs.

  • Report production numbers and challenges during the shift.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for supervising non-exempt hourly lead persons and non-exempt hourly employees.

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment, including Lead Person or supervisory responsibilities.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems.

  • Ability to supervise a team and maintain a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to teach, train, assess, counsel, mentor and develop others.

  • Mechanical Aptitude for trouble shooting equipment issues

  • Knowledge of metal working and textile machinery, and element product production, preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
