The LIS Computer Coordinator has responsibility for database support, problem resolution and product development for the MEDITECH LIS in the St. Joseph System to ensure user-friendly compatibility for all users. The Coordinator works closely with each department to assure corporate compliance and other regulatory guidelines are met, including CAP and JCAHO. Additionally, the LIS Coordinator designs, coordinates and/or administers lab department specific computer training, and is actively involved in performance improvement activities.
MediTech, LIS, Lab information system
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Medical Technology
Preferred: Three to five years
Preferred: Medical Technology, Working knowledge of the Meditech laboratory information system, Knowledge of regulatory requirements including: safety, CAP, JCAHO, state and federal guidelines
Required: Certification as a Medical Technologist
