Baylor Scott & White Health Community Engagement Representative in College Station, Texas
The Community Engagement Representative is responsible for all aspects of recruitment and community development for the Baylor Scott & White Marrow Donor Program including education and relationship development of various community groups including corporations, service sectors, college/universities and the community to increase the size and diversity of the national registry.
The Community Engagement Representative manages the recruitment process to add new volunteers to the Be the Match Registry according to program procedures and creating a recruitment strategy plan for each fiscal year to ensure achievement of both Caucasian and minority recruitment goals. The Community Engagement Representative markets each drive to attract the largest number of potential donors and supervises all drive volunteers to ensure established procedures are being followed The Community Engagement Representative enters all pre and post drive data into STARLink completely, accurately and in a timely fashion, checking all consent forms for completeness and accuracy, evaluating the prospective donors¨ health history and sending swab kits and consent forms to the repository within seven working days. The Community Engagement Representative establishes and maintains relationships with community and student organizations, media, businesses and local points of contact with which to coordinate recruitment, volunteer and fundraising efforts. The Community Engagement Representative Develops positive relationships with drive sponsors for repeat drive opportunities. The Community Engagement Representative seeks opportunities to educate the public about marrow and stem cell donation to increase participation of new donors, build a volunteer base for the program and to promote philanthropic giving.
The ideal candidate for the Community Engagement Representative role will possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate Community Engagement Representative role will also have experience in outside sales, business or community development, client account management or directly related blood donor recruitment experience with defined goals or metrics are desired.
