Job Description

The Communications Specialist II, under general supervision, writes, edits, designs and assists in the production of informational and promotional materials for display on digital signage and displays.


  • Creates templates for use on digital signage and displays

  • Writes, edits, designs and produces content for digital signage and displays throughout the College of Engineering

  • Graphics creation for digital platforms

  • Loads, schedules and manages content within Four Winds Interactive content management system (CMS)

  • Monitors digital signage and displays

  • Assists in developing and implementing a communications plan for digital signage

  • Assists in planning, implementing and promoting special events and programs

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

Two years of communications and/or marketing experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
