Aerotek Clinical Medical Assistant in Coppell, Texas

Medical Assistant

A large hospital/ clinical healthcare chain in North Texas is looking for a full-time, experienced, certified or registered medical assistant to add to their growing medicine team. They have openings at both their hospital/ clinical locations and their COVID testing sites.

Job Duties:

  • Accurately performs preliminary physical tests such as: measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, respiration, pulse, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problems.

  • Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis

  • Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, answering or referring inquiries

  • Assist Physician with medical tasks such as vitals, injections, and assisting patients

  • Taking Medical History of patients

  • Explaining treatment/procedures to patients and preparing them for procedures

  • Ensure exam rooms are prepped

  • Coordinating treatment with other facilities/physicians

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a certified/ registered medical assistant

  • Must be registered or certified medical assistant

  • Work flexible hours when needed

  • Must have customer service experience

  • Will be averaging 25-30 patients/day

Additional Information:

  • Shift: Monday-Friday: 8:00AM-5:00PM

  • This position is a 3-6 Month Contract-to-Hire position.
