Samsung Electronics America Logistics Warehouse Supervisor in Coppell, Texas
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for the execution of Forward and Reverse Logistics operations for Samsung Electronics America (Fulfillment, Quality, Returns Management and Business Coordination). This role will actively facilitate warehouse logistics operations for SEA and identify areas for performance improvements. This role will collaborate and support all distribution sites, transportation operations, 3PL’s and internal stakeholders.
Support business units on urgent shipments and new-launch models by monitoring warehouse/3PL operations and supporting the Demand Fulfillment and Transportation teams.
Monitor 3PL workflow and daily plan with 3PL management using forecasts to ensure productivity meets forecast.
Work proactively with 3PL’s, Vendors and Customers to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for future and current distribution channels.
Interact with management within the organization and with external contacts, serving as a subject matter expert.

Provide clear, concise status reports, metrics and updates to senior client stakeholders and sponsors outlining progress against agreed schedule, scope, cost and quality constraints on a structured and ad-hoc basis.
Collaborate with appropriate 3PLs on a daily basis to proactively manage all shipments and advise business unit’s issues, risks or delays.
Oversee end-to-end Logistics management to ensure flawless execution and delivery of Samsung product as more markets are brought online.
Define processes that are consistent and scalable across all vendors and locations.
Support business units on urgent shipments and new-launch models by closely monitoring each event milestone.
Develop, mentor, and positively engage more junior Logistics & WH Staff.
Make decisions within guidelines and policies.
Coordinate and execute special projects and ancillary services as requested.
Ensure all locations are in full compliance with all Federal, State and local regulatory safety, labor, worker's compensation and health.
Complete all other assigned duties.
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Business Management
3+ years industry experience, specifically in Transportation planning, scheduling, or operations
Must be able to communicate effectively with various types of shipping, transportation, and logistics agents and employees within the Samsung organization to identify and resolve product shipping and logistics issues.
Minimum of 1 year of SAP and JDA TMS user experience
Must be able to prepare, write, read, and demonstrate effective communications language skills.
Knowledge of transportation operational terms and best practices
Flexible work schedule that may require non-standard work hours
The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities.
The ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
Ability to communicate in writing, or orally, product logistics matters to others.
Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders when customer impacting issues arise
Ability to independently follow and execute work assignments to provide effective product shipping and logistics data entry services to achieve business objectives, product delivery, and organizational goals within established time frames and specifications. The ability to follow procedures and make decisions determined from available choices and from well-established guidelines. The ability to analyze situations and use innovation to resolve problems.
Must be able to work without supervision; self-starter
Must be experienced in the MS Office with specifically intermediate knowledge of Excel.
