Ameresco Construction Project Manager in Dallas Office, Texas

Ameresco currently has a new opportunity based in Texas for a Construction Project Manager to join the Southwest Regional Construction Team in support of the onsite construction and successful implementation of multi-million-dollar AMR / AMI metering and energy efficiency projects near Dallas and Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide daily administrative and technical on-site management of construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional, industrial, government, and commercial customers;

Assist Engineering Teams in development including scope, constructability, subcontractor selection, and project scheduling;

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to assure competitive cost, best schedule and delivery for all project-related equipment, supply installations, and construction services;

Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality control, and project delivery on time and within budget, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations;

Provide ongoing project status updates to the Sr. Project Manager throughout construction;

Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration;

Ensure compliance with company, state, federal, and jurisdictional safety standards and codes;

Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases; and

Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 6 years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management work experience focusing on facility infrastructure construction, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.

Specific emphasis on demonstrated experience with AMR / AMI smart meter installations of water, gas, and electric commercial and residential meters.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Completion or progress toward construction, engineering, or industry-related education preferred.

Demonstrated work experience and working knowledge of several of the following energy efficiency disciplines – AMR/AMI smart meter systems, direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, and lighting retrofits.

Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, and project management guidelines and practices.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.

Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.

Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Project.

Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state.

This position is 100% onsite supervision of active construction projects that will include day shifts, night shifts, and some weekends as required to meet the needs of the project.

Extended periods of travel and lodging will be required based on project locations throughout the State of Texas.
