In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in acctg required
ERP system experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Adeptness in Public Accounting
Knowledge of Excel Formulas
Excel VBA experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Certified Public Accountant - CPA (US)
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
