Robert Half International Accounting Manager in Dallas, Texas

Description

For our North Dallas clients, seeking accounting managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (essential functions of the position):

• Assist the Controller in the direction of the accounting function.

• Fully responsible for month-end closing process and financial statement preparation including monthly results variance analysis.

• Responsible for accounts receivable; new customer credit review and set up.

• Responsible for accounts payable.

• Responsible for payroll & benefits administration.

• Responsible for treasury and banking management.

• Responsible for daily cash bank reconciliation.

• Responsible for sales tax administration and exemption certificate management.

• Analyze and review daily intercompany transactions.

• Analyze and reconcile all monthly balance sheet accounts.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required

• Knowledge of ERP Systems required

• Ability to be flexible, multi-task and meet 5 day close deadlines

• Ability to research independently

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Work well with people both internally and externally

Management / Supervisory requirements:

• Manage team of specialists (AP, AP, Payroll/Benefits)

• Train, motivate and inspire team as well as ensure that the team has the tools and training required to perform at their best
