The Enterprise Data Warehouse/Cloud data Engineer will analyze and evaluate existing and/or proposed systems and devices to process data warehouse data in on-premises and in cloud. Provide production Operations for the data warehouse 24/7. Partner with engineering and product teams in requirements gathering, development, design, testing and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions .
Cloud data platform support engineer who has good knowledge of cloud-based BI/DW/ETL technologies.
Solid foundation in Python programming language.
Deploy Snowflake following best practices for configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of data platform
Assist and enhance existing data warehouse platforms by applying system solutions.
Strong Knowledge in ETL for troubleshooting the job failures
Partner with the development scrum teams and other interconnected IT groups to optimize the end-to-end process including monitoring, deployment and post-production
Implement monitoring services to proactively identify issues
Manages tasks and projects in a fast-paced Operations environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution
Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures
Evaluate, determine root cause and resolve production issues.
Actively transfers knowledge throughout the organization, participates in knowledge transfer projects to develop best practices, conducts technology/applications deep dive sessions, and mentors junior staff and new hires
Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls
Required skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Management systems or related major and minimum 3 years of experience in IT with technical expertise in Data-warehousing platforms
1+ years of experience in Python programming and shell scripting is a must.
1+ years of experience in Snowflake and AWS
2+ years experience in ETL
1+ years of experience in large-scale distributed cloud data warehouse platforms like Snowflake/Redshift.
Excellent team player with ability to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams at all levels.
Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in a cloud environment
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, schema designs, and big data platforms.
Desired Skills and experience:
Snowflake Snowpro certification
Knowledge in AWS solutions architect associate certification
Knowledge in shell scripting is a plus.
Nice to have an understanding of monitoring tools like Grafana, Zabbix, Splunk
Experience with CI/CD pipelines with knowledge in Jenkins, Terraform and Spinnaker is a plus.
