This position will be responsible for supporting the end to end process of Lifecycle Marketing campaigns, projects, and initiatives to achieve measurable results as part of the Biosciences Division Global Email Team. This individual will need a very good understanding of marketing communications and automation tools, and will work with the internal marketing and market development teams to execute compelling digital campaigns while leveraging established business processes and technologies to meet the needs of the business. The Digital Marketing Specialist will help craft compelling campaigns to engage and nurture target segments through the entire customer lifecycle; collaborate effectively with cross-functional key stakeholders across the BID Marketing organization to drive successful strategy execution; and leverage the full potential of our Marketing Automation platform (Unica) to drive customer engagement, lead generation, and commercial growth.
This role is integral in helping to lead our digital transformation efforts on a global level and accountable for ensuring the business meets short- and long-term financial goals of the Biosciences Division within the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG). This includes managing the end to the end development process of our Marketing Automation campaigns, accurately estimating and tracking program timelines, and executing marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, a self-starter, a creative thinker, analytical, deadline-driven, and constantly looking for new opportunities to improve the performance and operational efficacy of our Marketing Automation programs. Additionally, the successful candidate must maintain a current understanding of email marketing automation best practices and apply them to the execution of our MAP campaigns in collaboration with the BID Email Marketing team.
This role requires the ability to handle a number of complex projects at any one time as well as being able to respond quickly to our regional and team requests. The Digital Marketing Specialist will develop a clear understanding of the requirements and objectives of each MAP campaign, be proactive in attitude and supportive to the team at all times. What will you do?
Assisting in the development of digital marketing and contact strategy through the coordination of activities to maximize revenue and lead generation opportunities.
Implement specific digital marketing strategies for key marketing initiatives by partnering with stakeholders, creating a program plan, managing tasks and timelines, organizing and facilitating operating mechanisms to ensure successful rollouts and implementations.
Develop and execute new innovative solutions to enhance the online customer journey to gain a competitive advantage.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing and Regional Marketing teams on the strategy, design, and development of digital campaigns and assets that will increase revenue and improve lead generation conversion.
Leverage web analytics to track campaign results and uncover relevant insights, content gaps, and opportunities for purposeful online dialogs within target communities.
Experience with Omni-channel technologies a strong plus.
Offers thoughtful advice and recommendations to our team regarding Marketing Automation emails and opportunities for contact and optimization.
Coordinate the design, customer segmentation, messaging and analytics for all email marketing campaigns through our marketing automation platform (Unica).
Conduct thorough testing and assure quality assurance of new and existing campaigns.
How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related major required.
3 to 5 years' experience with emphasis on digital marketing, eMail campaigns, and digital lead generation programs preferred.
Experience with Marketing Automation using one of the major marketing automation platforms (e.g. Unica Campaign, Eloqua, Marketo, or Pardot) required. Hands-on experience working with Unica Campaign highly desired.
Experience working in an Agile Marketing environment highly desirable.
2-3 years of hands-on experience with a major ESP (Email Service Provider) such as Responsys, Exact Target, Cheetahmail, or IBM Silverpop / Acoustic. Experience with IBM Silverpop / Acoustic a big plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand data sources, data mapping, campaign logic, and campaign performance (ROI analysis and recommendations).
Ability to analyze large and complex sets of data from multiple sources (transactional, web analytics, and lead generation). Use data and dashboards to inform our team with keen insights on improving email and contact health KPIs.
Must be detailed oriented - must have the ability to identify and resolve problems and complete tasks with attention to detail.
