The Senior Client Development Manager will serve the company in a role that drives new revenue and increases partnerships with CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) companies. This role, which will report into our VP of CPG Offers and Insights, will lead negotiations with CPGs to enlist promotion dollars to support our client loyalty programs. The role will include leveraging contacts with CPG?s at a national level to access brand/shopper marketing funds to support offers to reach broad customer base. In addition, the role will include working closely with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation, execution and management of their CPG?s campaigns. The role includes sales strategy, account management, performance analysis and marketing execution elements with focus on promotion success for loyalty offers in the convenience retail industry.
Consult with CPG brand marketers to understand their brand initiatives and objectives and create effective programs utilizing PDI?s solutions to support them.
Identify, research and drive lead generation to increase CPG relationships.
Utilize and leverage PDI Insights as a way to uncover opportunities and support campaign performance across the convenience space.
Analyzing and Implementing offer strategies across client base to drive continued brand participation.
Exhibit thought leadership and strong curiosity and passion for the evolving digital, promotion and mobile landscape with a focus on understanding the client?s business needs and the metrics that determine their success.
Supporting internal teams to ensure effective implementation and marketing plans for their brand programs.
Attain assigned sales quota.
Other marketing responsibilities as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
5+ years of experience in CPG promotional sales, Category Management, Merchandising, Loyalty Marketing, CPG product sales, or other relevant sales experience.
Proven track record of growing business and managing a robust deal pipeline to reach quotas within assigned account list
Superior communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and across teams to maintain program effectiveness and process management
High energy, self-motivated and team player
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be able to handle information confidentially
