Recovery Monitoring Solutions is a leading provider of treatment and offender monitoring services, with corporate offices in Dallas, TX.


The Inventory Assistant will be responsible for the receipt, refurbishment, storage, tracking, preparation, shipment and return of equipment among company offices and governmental agencies, as well as the retrieval, refurbishment, storage and redistribution of lost or stolen equipment.


  • Receive, store, and document incoming goods from the company distribution center, clients, government agency partners and independent contractors.

  • Prepare reports verifying reconciliation of quantity ordered with volume received, documenting noted discrepancies.

  • Coordinate resolution of order discrepancies with assigning technician.

  • Update electronic tracking system with location of stored equipment.

  • Clean and disinfect incoming used equipment and inspect for proper functionality.

  • Return defective equipment to manufacturer/company distribution center.

  • Electronically document the receipt, return, storage, and shipment of all equipment in tracking system.

  • Notify company staff of equipment recorded as missing or categorized incorrectly in monitoring database system.

  • Monitor equipment inventory levels; notify the Inventory Manager of insufficient or excess supplies.

  • Provide prompt and thorough customer service to supervision officers, senior court/county officials and company staff.

  • Record daily notifications of lost, misplaced, or stolen equipment.

  • Initiate electronic search of available databases for equipment location

  • Contact institutions, agencies, company offices, clients and associates by phone, mail or in person to locate and retrieve equipment.

  • Reconcile electronic databases for accurate account of equipment location and clients’ program status

  • Document status of equipment returns/retrievals for proper client billing

  • Process incoming used equipment from region offices/government agency partners.

  • Prepare documentation, obtain RMA number, and return defective equipment to manufacturer.

  • Coordinate resolution of order discrepancies with equipment manufacturer.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of six months of customer service experience.

  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Clean background and able to pass a drug screening.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Bend, stoop, lift objects up to 15lbs, and maintain mobility necessary to perform minimum functions associated with position.
