Berry Appleman & Leiden Senior Learning & Performance Development Analyst in Dallas, Texas

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing and passionate learning professional to help our employees advance their knowledge and skills in order to achieve elite performance. Focus areas of this role include end-to-end experiences in the learning/development area from strategic needs analysis based upon data interpretation, to instructional design, development, implementation and evaluation. Additionally, this role is responsible for management of the Firm’s new elite performance system, coordination of change management activities related to our new performance strategy, vendor coordination, and various activities related to our current transformational goals. This role reports to the Director, Talent.

  • Champion and role model our Firm’s new elite performance transformation strategy.

  • Support and execute the development of resources related to strategic capability-building via PowerPoint presentations, talent and performance related toolkits, digital/electronic resources, leadership development programs, and assorted talent development related resources.

  • Oversee and assist in project management with various talent development and performance projects such as 360 assessments, talent assessment, and performance management related activities.

  • Coordinate with talent/performance related vendors including our performance management software supplier and other talent related suppliers.

  • Administer and coordinate ad-hoc leadership and talent development feedback surveys to collect and interpret data to shape programming.

  • Coordinate Firm performance management needs with the newly licensed elite performance software to guide and track manager-employee discussions including feedback, performance scoring, and performance calibration.

  • Assist with talent, learning and development related analytics to evaluate program impacts, to identify needs, and support planning and execution of solutions.

  • Help develop and implement a talent assessment strategy, including assessment instruments, multi-rater and 360 feedback.

Skill and Abilities

  • Proven experience in talent development including needs analysis, instructional design, resource development, implementation and facilitation, and program evaluation to measure impact.

  • Background in performance management, including the support of organizational goal-setting processes and ongoing performance feedback practices to achieve results.

  • Experience in matrix-style and complex reporting structures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High learning agility to learn new operating environments in high-growth areas.

  • Experience and familiarity in learning, performance and communication technologies/systems. (Learning management system, HRIS, performance management system, talent assessment systems, and virtual communication technologies).

  • Proficient in MS Office programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-visibility activities and projects.

  • Excellent client interface and service delivery skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute efficiently and accurately, with acute attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Experience working in HR roles with familiarity of HR concepts and processes.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal tactfully with sensitive information.

  • Skilled at both working independently and in a high-performing team environment.

Experience

  • 3 -5 years’ of relevant experience

Minimum Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Graduate degree and/or certifications in Learning/Development/Performance related fields a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Able to maintain a sedentary position for up to 90% of the work day

  • Able to type and to grasp, grip, push and pull file drawers and doors

  • Able to walk and climb stairs or use elevator to coordinate with other departments

  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel and/or stand to access files and documents

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs of files and/or boxes
