Essential Duties Directs and provides leadership to service technicians/supervisors/managers that are working within the specific business segment, and participates in manager on-call/stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures. Maintains strong customer relationships, and ensures service technician performance meets customer requirements through direct management and communication. Provides leadership to ensure that the team is operating within the guidelines of the company and the business unit while conforming to state and local codes. Schedules and facilitates weekly service managers' meetings, and participates in annual strategic planning that aligns with corporate strategies. Manages revenue goals as set in annual strategic planning. Participates in the hiring process and directly recommends candidates for hire. Monitors and manages the productivity of their direct reports, holding performance management conversations when necessary. Monitors technician labor hours for efficiency and safety, and ensures work orders and time sheets are accurate. Reviews the Technician Productivity Report each month and provides feedback to service technicians. Feedback includes highlighting areas where productivity needs to be improved and recognizing individuals for outstanding performance. Interfaces with managers, customers and technicians to ensure service technician performance meets customer requirements. Demonstrates a proficient understanding of service reporting metrics to lead and manage the business results of the team. Assists with generating sales proposals, technical assistance, invoice dispute resolution and accounts receivable feedback. Attends accounts receivable meetings and ensures that accounts receivable collection goals for the specific business segment are met. Works with accounts receivable, service managers and account managers on any accounts that are not meeting the required past due collection goals. Performs monthly safety meetings with service technicians, and carries out a minimum of two safety observations per month. Ensures that in the event of injury or incident, all reporting and incident investigations in the specific business segment team are performed in accordance with the guidelines of company policy. Minimum Requirements High School or GED. Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. Must possess required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position. 7+ years of experience.
