About the role:
TI Kilby Lab is seeking highly qualified research engineer with strong background in applying optical based technique for nanometer particle size measurement. This requires in-depth knowledge in light scattering / absorption by small particles, and signal processing algorithms for the size extraction. As a member of the team, you will work on some of the most challenging technical problems, develop new sensing solutions that leverage high performance analog front-end circuit. You will work with various technologists from R&D team as well as different business units inside the company to put the solution from idea into products. In addition, you will have opportunity to engage with technical communities in TI to share your ideas and solutions.

Pursuing a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a background in Applied Optics.
In-depth expertise in light scattering / absorption by small particles and statistic / signal processing algorithms for size extraction.
Project level expertise in building HW at discrete as well as circuit levels: design, synthesize, build and verification.
System level integrated performance benchmark and testing: comfortably get on the bench in the lab to take the measurements and debug the HW components.
Excellent programming skills in Python, C/C , Matlab, as well as analog design platforms (Spice, etc.) in the server farm platform is a plus.
Expected to perform well in a fast-paced environment, to execute on the tasks assigned, to meet the project deadlines and at the same time, to explore independently new innovative ideas that can improve and optimize.
