Kforce Technical Business System Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Kforce has a client in search of a Technical Business System Analyst in Dallas, TX.Summary:The client is looking for a Technical Business System Analyst who wants to join a growing company. You will need to be detail oriented as you will be working closely with the accounts teams to support business and technical need for the program.You will be responsible for managing business analyses, requirements definition, and testing activities for development and support projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, and controlling of the overall business specification for assigned business support systems. This position is a key interface to the business and development in delivering the business direction for business and technology initiatives.Key Tasks:

  • Business requirements - interaction with the account team and customer to capture and document new and modified system requirements, translate these into technical requirements and development tracking tickets

  • Ensure/track full deployment of trade-in applications in customer environments

  • Build deep technical expertise on the Warehouse and Trade applications and use those skills to address customer issues as needed

  • Create and execute test plans - prior to deployment

  • Post deployment support and training

  • Responsible for recognizing and communicating the effects and impacts feature development will have on other areas of the business

  • Break/fix support

  • Generate new reports and maintain/update existing reports

  • Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems

  • 2 to 5 years of combined business and/or IT experience

  • 2 to 5 years of formal SDLC including Waterfall and Iterative development teams

  • Experience writing medium complexity SQL queries to supplement Ad-Hoc reporting and troubleshoot issues

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Visio experience a plus

  • Ability to interact with multiple clients at once and identify opportunities for leverage

  • Strong presence - ability to persuade and sell ideas

  • Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing solutions for a growing organization

  • Excellent presentation skills at all levels of management and technical resources

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), time management skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Demonstrated creative and analytical aptitude and technical problem-solving abilities

  • Strong conceptual knowledge of systems alignments, processes, data structures - bridging this information with business workflows and requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes and practices with strong knowledge of business systems

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents

  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues

  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations
