***IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY - 1 WEST AND 1 NORTHEAST - FOR A PRODUCTION FORKLIFT OPERATOR!***Summary of JobArea:Production: Packaging and Roasting Areas.General Description:Production Forklift Operators operate industrial forklift truck to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and machines. Performs all these activities in compliance with companys personnel safety, food safety and food quality systems as well as 5s methodology. Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMain Functions (Responsibilities):Security:Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.Complies will all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.Complies and enforces security norms and food quality.Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.Must present proper employee Id upon entering premises.Must present Parking permit upon entering premises.Follows safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.Quality: Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Complies and enforces security norms and food quality.Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.Becomes personally accountable for the highest quality and integrity standards of behavior, honesty and fairness in all aspects of the job.Production: Supplies product to all machines according to work order specification.Prior to signing out equipment performs operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher. Fills check list accordingly.Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load, and move merchandise, checking locator cards and all documents specific to each type of merchandise.At each days end, returns equipment to correct charging station, and prepares equipment for daily (overnight) charge.Replaces defective pallets as necessary.Timely Responds to red light signal indicating an empty bin needs to be replaced with one with product in order to keep line running (i.e. Rovema, 603, etc.).The Fork Lift Operator must be able to recognize all the different types of products and their respective storage areas.Reviews production orders and determines that correct materials are available at packaging line during start up and changeovers. Order and Cleanliness: Keep work area clean and in neat condition.Meets and enforces cleaning practices for manufacturing using 5s methodology ( goal of 94%).Operator must clean bins and set up their own super sacks.Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.General Functions: Communicates regularly with machine operators, supervisor and warehouse personnel to ensure good two way communication regarding work order set up and changeovers.Notifies machine operator and supervisor of quality issues or lack of product.Education and QualificationsForklift Operator Certification.Minimum of 6 months experience operating forkliftLoading and unloading trailers, pick orders, and put away materialsWarehouse experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift 50 lbs.
