The Test Technician operates tire mounting/dismounting/balance machines, Vehicle lift, and drives a variety of vehicles to perform the test. This position is responsible for data acquisition and report generation. The role is also responsible for following and identifying gaps in safety policies and quality standards and processes, operational applications and suggesting continuous improvement opportunities. The work is routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. This position must be able to communicate information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Understand tools and abilities necessary to complete testing assignments Completes work assignments in the order assigned by supervisor Works independently with insight to seek help from experienced peers Completes routine assignments within defined time-line Assists junior teammates when requested and recognize when assistance is needed. Utilize mechanical and problem-solving aptitude and eventual broad understanding of tire test methods and the driving of a variety of Test Vehicles. Utilizes knowledge of ISO requirements. Understands and follows quality and safety standards--- ability to grasp concepts presented within a reasonable time. Be able to lift > 50Lb, Mount /Dismount tires, work in an industrial/production environment and understand and follow industrial hygiene, safety rules, policies, and procedures to avoid injury from equipment and materials. Practice trouble shooting techniques. Recognizes suspect data or vehicle malfunctions. Makes recommendations and suggestions to supervision with regards to efficiencies, processes and daily operations continuous improvement. Interacts with customers and auditors, when required. Completes quality assignments. Exchanges routine information about day to day job assignments with others is essential. Exchanges basic technical or tactical information with colleagues/clients/customers. Exchanges routine information about day to day job assignments with others, within department is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 2-4 years of work experience

  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, email and web-based navigation.

  • Be able to lift > 50Lb

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clear written and oral communication in English


Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience
