Lockheed Martin is looking for a senior level Propulsion Engineer to continue our 75 year tradition of developing advanced systems. This position will support an ADP (Advanced Development Programs) effort as a propulsion engineer senior staff, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Responsibilities include advanced weapons system integration, installed propulsion performance, propulsion system modeling and propulsion system installation. The candidate will be working extensively with other Aeronautics engineering disciplines and propulsion system companies in the role of a lead propulsion integration engineer. The candidate will also mentor/coach early career engineers supporting program efforts. Travel in support of the program efforts may also be required. Specific experience with experimental propulsion systems and complex system integration is desired, including high speed weapons platform integration and test. The candidate is desired to have experience planning technical tasks, including associated cost and schedule estimates. Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires a DoD security clearance.

A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Engineering Aeronautics

Basic Qualifications:

-- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent degree program).

Experience in each of the following:

-- Propulsion Design, modeling, and analysis

-- Propulsion System/Weapons System Integration

-- Flight Testing and Post-Flight Data Analysis

Desired Skills:

-- Experience with hypersonic design, development, and experimental propulsion testing

-- Experience with engine supplier coordination

-- Experience with classified programs

-- Experience with management briefings and status roll-ups

-- Experience with military programs

-- Excellent written and oral communication skills
