Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Logistics Product Line Leader. The Logistics Product Line Leader works within the Global Logistics Distribution organization and leads various projects related to identifying areas/opportunities for optimizing logistics spend and reduce lead time. The Logistics Product Line Leader will collaborate with key stakeholders to drive and implement the action plan. This position reports to the Logistics Spend Governance Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Improve profitability and performance of Logistics for specific Product Line(s)

  • Logistics spend analysis and presentation

  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment.

  • Perform Logistics spend and lead time governance by identifying areas/opportunities for optimization

  • Collaborate with Geo Logistics Managers to develop pathways to optimize logistics spend and then drive completion of the action plan

  • Collaborating with Geo Markets Operations to drive value creation initiatives and project based mobilization/demobilization of products

  • Conduct monthly meetings with Product Line Leadership to review Logistics profitability and performance

  • Develop communication plan and operating rhythm to update progress on key deliverables to the stakeholders, both vertically and horizontally

  • Assist in development of risk management plans and change management plans.

  • Collaborate with Project Management Office and management to develop and track cost and schedule estimates for projects

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with both internal & external customers and suppliers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in Engineering or Supply Chain Management or Logistics.

  • 7+ years of experience in a compliant supply chain environment (i.e manufacturing/repair & maintenance/ warehousing/ logistics & distribution

  • Previous Project management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead implementation of complex project as well as manage teams effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills: able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing.

  • LEAN expertise, including LEAN Six Sigma process methodology.

  • Strong PC skills with working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP and other WMS is a plus.

  • Must be willing to travel

Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced SAP experience

  • Masters in Supply Chain Mgmt./ Business Administration

  • APICS certified (CPIM/CSCP/CLTD) and Lean certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Business

  • Ability to work within a matrix organizational environment

  • Strong organizational, inter-personal skill and demonstrated teamwork skill.

  • Dependability: Being reliable, responsible, dedicated, committed and fulfilling obligations
