Cuna Mutual Underwriting Specialist in Ft Worth, Texas


The Underwriting Specialist III provides technical expertise to credit unions by servicing commercial property and casualty coverage requests including referrals from Underwriting Specialist I when needed and acts as an insurance consultant to both internal and external customers. The Underwriting Specialist III utilizes comprehensive knowledge of policy coverage, loss prevention and full department underwriting authority to complete appropriate applications. This position will also provide mentorship and coaching expertise to members of the CUP Servicing Team when appropriate.

Specialist Possesses detailed knowledge and/or skill on a particular subject or activity. Their talents are devoted to a particular business focus and they provide guidance, technical leadership, and training to less experienced staff. Develops and implements solutions that align with key business strategies and initiatives.

  • Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts

  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments

  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
