Required Skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: manage overall operations of the Branch, including: Sales, Operations, Safety, HR Related Activities, Accounting Related Activities.

A process oriented and experienced Plant Manager (PM) to safely direct and coordinate all facets of our production, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and all related activities for our Air Distribution plant. With a staff of 120+ employees and growing, you will provide leadership by maintaining, developing, and improving our processes, and identifying goals and objectives to meet the company’s vision and long-term strategic plans. The PM will manage resources to ensure that our products are produced efficiently and effectively while continuing to maintain our quality standards. The PM is responsible for promoting, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement through constant assessment of staff, equipment and process. You will continue to develop, train, and motivate supervisors, team leads, and team members to effectively meet the rapidly changing needs of our growing business.


* * Drive safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the plant to keep employees safe and the site in full compliance with all laws and regulations. * Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, safety & violations, operating efficiencies, capacity and actions taken to resolve identified deficiencies. * Lead by example to develop the plant salaried team to model ‘guiding principle’ leadership behaviors that drive employee engagement while meeting customer expectations. * Develop and communicate a vision for the facility to all employees and conduct monthly all-hands meetings to communicate plant performance to goals. * Oversee daily operations of Production Supervisors and review performance of subordinates * Set yearly goals and objectives for each direct report and continuously measure performance against those goals * Align corporate vision with plant vision and provide leadership to Supervisors and employees to accomplish their task of maximizing throughput, improving quality and customer service, and reducing operating costs * Create a team environment among peers and team members. Promote employee morale and motivate through positive communications and proactive problem solving to ensure an efficient, stable and friendly work environment * Collaborate with Executive Management on key priorities and deliver necessary KPIs and reporting * Comply with, understand, and enforce all company policies and procedures. * Execute Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Observe workers to ensure compliance. * Plans and directs production activities, prepares operational schedule and establishes production priorities to effectively manufacture within set operational standards, cost factors and quality specifications. * Evaluates existing processes and procedures and suggest improvements. Support development and enhancements to production methods.

Required Experience

Qualified Candidates will possess the following*:*

* * Bachelor's degree is required; Engineering preferred * Minimum 10 years working in a manufacturing environment required; 5+ years of experience in plant leadership required. Experience in a non-union manufacturing environment is highly desirable * Demonstrated experience using lean manufacturing and six sigma tools preferred * Knowledge of environmental and health and safety standards * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clear and concise information to varied levels within the organization * Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability * Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
