Engineer - Multi-Disciplined 4
Support design efforts relating to nonmetallic materials requiring FAA flammability compliance for components, systems, and modifications for military and commercial aircraft. Review engineering drawings to identify materials requiring flammability compliance. Generate flammability test plans and compliance reports for required contracts. Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, customer, program office personnel, and applicable suppliers during design, procurement, fabrication, and aircraft installation process to address and resolve flammability issues. Maintain company documentation relating to material flammability testing.
Bachelor Degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Must have good technical writing skills.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to use MS Office products.
Knowledge of aircraft interior materials (fabrics, decorative coverings, etc.).
Good presentation skills.
Familiarity with FAA flammability regulatory requirements.
Aerospace/aircraft industry experience.
Background in aircraft interior/mechanical design.
Familiarity with applicable Aerospace and Industry standards and specifications.
Familiarity with SAP software (L-3 MRP system).
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
