Job Location: Greenville, TX
Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing production processes.
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
Works closely with Manufacturing Management and team members to adapt equipment, design processes, and champion progress within operations.
Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and manufacturing systems analysis.
Plans, evaluates, and justifies capital equipment expenditures.
Uses advanced engineering tools and concepts (such as root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis) to develop and/or revise manufacturing processes and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Adaptability within a non-repetitive, design-to-order manufacturing environment.
Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)
Bachelor’s degree in related technical field with 0 - 2 years of applicable experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Requires daily use of multiple software applications, such as Lotus Notes, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and AutoCAD. Working knowledge in each is preferred.
Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proven record of developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Possess some experience in shop processes including knowledge of engineering drawings, process-planning documentation, and process control is strongly preferred.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
