Position: Warehouse Logistics Assistant The Warehouse Logistics Assistant is responsible for closely tracking the movement of the product from the warehouse or inventory to ensure efficient inflow and outflow of the goods to the company s clients. The Warehouse Logistics Assistant is also responsible for maintaining the required level of efficiency and safety while handling the movement of goods and keeping accurate records. Summary of duties: Correctly, documents and completely fills out all paperwork pertaining to the company s best practices of shipping and receiving process and ensures accurate input in SAP (computer) system. Maintains the continuous flow of product from Production to the proper Warehouse location while keeping product integrity in tack. Keeps production demands for materials satisfied, while utilizing the current First In, First Out (FIFO) system. Ensures that the goods that are moving out or coming in are in proper condition without any leakage or breakage. Strictly follows and maintains standard operations procedures and productivity targets; periodically audits systems for consistent compliance/accuracy and makes suggestions for changes if needed. Is responsible for helping safeguard the property of the company. Is responsible for timely and accurate submission for all the documents that are related to the incoming and outgoing goods and materials. Follows and maintains the duties and safety protocols as outlined by the Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Manager; may interface with OSHA Safety Supervisor. Works intermutually, interacts with the Warehouse Logistics staff, and maintains positive, effective working relationships with the Warehouse Supervisor, colleagues and clients. Abides by all General GMP s for a Food Plant Warehouse and Office Environment. Continual Trains in the SAP by Design System in compliance with job requirements and needs. Assists in other duties assigned by Supervision to enhance Warehouse Logistic Process. Handles paperwork for all shipments, track orders, scan documents, emails information and updates the system. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED, some college hours 2-3 years related shipping and receiving experience, and or training in a food plant environment 1-2 years of forklift experience Intermediate to excellent computer skills Calculates simple math problems with consistent accuracy Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates ability to work/lead effectively in a team environment. Has strong attention to detail and organizational a skills Operates forklift Able to work overtime or rotating shift as required Meets physical demands of position: Lift 40-50 pounds; stand for long periods, bend, squat, stoop, reach, walk, climb stairs Excellent attendance history Desirables Experience working in a factory, specifically food industry Experience as a lead Bilingual College credit, associates preferred Forklift certified Team player, customer service driven
