Robert Half Finance is looking for an ambitious Controller to join a well-respected services company. This leadership role oversees an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in Greenwood, TX. Your responsibilities in this role - Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection - Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis - Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management - Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible - Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis - Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports - Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations - Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities - Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required - Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
