Position : IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support
Location : Harlingen, TX
Duration : 3 + months
Pay : $15 - 17/hr
Provides technical support and guidance to all staff members through any number of communications channels, such as LegalServer, telephone or e-mail, across a broad spectrum of LegalServer, PC, and software issues. In addition, provide phone desktop support/consulting services and problem resolution. Interfaces with other support groups and/or suppliers to resolve problems. Troubleshoots routine to moderately complex desktop problems. Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Provides on-site desktop services and problem resolution. Interfaces with other support groups and/or suppliers to resolve problems. Specialized training in PC/LAN Technology.
Provide expert level application, analysis and technical support for business-critical applications used by the staff of the organization
Respond to staff inquiries related to PC and/or software issues, which are received through multiple channels.
Act as the technical resource for a large and varied group of end-users. This includes but is not limited to installations, analysis, troubleshooting, new information/system upgrades and initiatives, and technical resolutions.
Provides troubleshooting and diagnostics on incident requests and recommends an appropriate solution to the inquiry or, when necessary, escalates the issue to a more experienced technician.
Provide timely, accurate, creative, and expert technical solutions to staff. This includes, but is not limited to setup, troubleshooting, LAN troubleshooting and connectivity, networking, software and hardware compatibility, and analysis issues.
Install PCs, monitors, laptops, peripherals, telephones, copiers, printers, and supporting software in workstations and offices and ensure that all equipment/software is working appropriately and within data security standards. Ensure the appropriate removal of older equipment.
Maintain and support technology in conference rooms and MDF rooms, including supporting the setup of meetings.
Develop, document and enhance quality support methods and processes through coaching feedback and other developmental approaches.
Preferred: Associates Degree
