Position Description

Primary Purpose: General Accounting Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly Journal Vouchers for 3 legal entities

  • Preparation of Monthly Account Reconciliations for 3 legal entities

  • Handling of Mexico Payments

  • Preparing Intercompany Invoicing, Payments, and Reconciliations

  • Coordination with Mexico Accounting Services Company and Mexico Auditors

  • Coordinating with companies in Mexico such as banks, vendors, importation/customs related, and lawyers as needed

  • Monitor bank accounts for customer deposits and assist AR on the deposit application

  • Preparation of Monthly close packages

  • Preparation of Quarterly analysis - gross margin, BS, and IS Flux analysis

  • Assist the Forecasting group with any questions arising from service agreements

  • Guide and oversee the field and project operations on processing vendor payments

  • Assist with the quarterly and annual schedules required for CRE (Mexican Regulatory Agency)

  • Assist with internal and external auditors’ requests as needed

  • Other routine task and special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager or Accounting Director

  • Create and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.

Position Requirements

Education: 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance Experience/Specific Knowledge: 3 - 5 years’ experience in Accounting Certifications/Licences/Registrations: CPA or MBA a plus Compentencies/Skills/Abilities:

  • Fluent in Spanish (Speaking, reading and writing)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Must possess and demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals of various levels, internally and externally

  • Strong analytical skills, including internal reporting

  • Candidate must be very organized, self-motivated, and able to perform with minimal supervision.

  • Must be flexible as job responsibilities may change over time

  • Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and often with strict deadlines, while maintaining a high quality of work product

  • Working experience with ERS systems, Lawson, HFM, and Essbase experiences preferred

  • Strong preference of O&G industry work experience, especially Mid-stream operations
