The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in nineteenth-century United States history. UHCL is proud to be a Hispanic Serving Institution and the new hire would be expected to regularly teach the university's first course on Mexican American history.iThe appointment will begin on August 1, 2021.iDuties:iWill carry a 3-3 teaching load including the U.S. History survey as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in nineteenth-century U.S. history and related subfields.Bilingual skills, especially English/Spanish. iiRequired:i1.
