Job Purpose

The Business Development Associate role will play a pivotal role on the business development and sales team, for the Southwest market. This role will turn qualified leads into opportunities for our sales team. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who can take ownership of their role as well as work closely with senior management to build sales strategies, source new business, and develop partnerships with Fortune 500-1000 companies.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prospect potential new clients through outbound efforts to generate qualified leads

  • Contact and qualify inbound leads to ensure proper fit and budget including prospect research

  • Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects’ pain points to determine how our solutions will meet those needs

  • Market mapping, lead segmentation and lead scoring

  • Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-ups in order to move the opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Roll-up your sleeves and help where needed


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of relevant sales and/or marketing experience (internship or full-time employment) preferred

  • Proactive approach and ability to work on multiple opposing priorities and projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced Excel skills preferred

  • Positive attitude and great team spirit

  • Experience working for a start-up a plus

  • Proficient in sales marketing and familiar with industry technology

  • Strategic minded yet able to execute

  • High-energy, tenacious and performance driven-mindset
