IHS Markit Compliance Officer, Energy & Natural Resources in Houston, Texas
Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) the Price Reporting Agency (PRA) of IHS Markit part of the ENR (Energy & Natural Resources) division, has an opening for a Group Compliance Officer (Associate Director) to lead and grow a regulatory compliance function within the division, with a primary focus on ensuring regulatory compliance to the price reporting functions in the group. This is a senior level Compliance position that will focus on several primary Compliance Key Responsibility Areas.

Regulatory Compliance Functions
Ensure compliance with relevant and associated regulations (globally) pertaining to benchmarks, including activities such as policy assessment and development, implementation, planning and impact analysis, decision support to management and stakeholder engagement (internal + external).
Run Internal audits, systems checks, process reviews and ensure successful external audits are run with successful outcomes, including the associated administrative duties.
Training and Development – ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures, build a culture of accountability and compliance, run compliance workshops, fortnightly meetings and ensure right level of stakeholder engagement.
Business Alignment – ensure compliance function supports business objectives, supports IMBA, includes strategic initiatives around process efficiency, customer communications, process standardization and simplification.
Risk Mitigation – run BC program, compile Risk Matrix assessment
Support Corporate Compliance functions
Support Marketing communications and UX for Compliance website
Support Special projects/advisory initiatives which require compliance inputs
Regulatory experience a plus, but not required, preferably with a PRA (price reporting agency).
Excellent inter-personal skills, demonstrable impact and influence skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Establish priorities and work well with others as well as independently.
Exchanges and benchmark listing experience would be preferred
Demonstrable skills in running company-wide programs
