We are currently recruiting for a Construction Forensic Investigator to join the STRUCTURAL Technologies group which is located in Deer Park, TX. As a Construction Forensic Investigator you will be accountable for investigating structural failures and assessing the condition of structures and developing repair recommendations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Development of fee estimates and condition assessment proposals

  • Pre-planning of investigations and coordination with the branch personnel

  • Overall coordination of field and post-field activities regarding condition surveys

  • Performing field and laboratory investigations

  • Assembling data into reports and communicating results in writing and verbally

  • Participating in Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) efforts on assigned construction repair projects and assists in developing relevant inspection program documentation

  • Supporting Business Development on client visit for technical input on sophisticated investigation opportunities and assisting in preparing cost proposals for forensic investigations

  • Conducting investigations safely

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting Construction Forensic Investigator position:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investigating defects and degradation of concrete and steel structures

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, related Materials Science Engineering, or significant construction experience

  • ACI Level 1 Technician Certification for concrete field testing preferred or equivalent

  • Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD

  • Able to effectively take technical data and develop into clear and concise written reports

  • Proficient in Presenting Technical Data and Investigative findings to internal and external groups.

  • Able to work at heights (up to 650’ high), in extreme work conditions to include industrial facilities and extreme temperatures, and must be able to wear a respirator

  • Eligible to obtain a TWIC and Passport

  • Overnight travel up to 70% of the time
