TITLE: Engineering Expert Controls & Remote Diagnostic Services COMPANY: Siemens Energy, Inc. DUTIES: Provide Engineering Expertise and technical guidance to ensure the Siemens PS division (particularly related to gas turbine engines) responds to customer requirements to provide leading edge Siemens supplied machinery control systems and remote diagnostic systems that monitor, protect and predict operations and maintenance. Ensure appropriate capability and measurements exist to enable teams charged with executing projects can deliver safe, timely and quality solutions that meet customer and Siemens business requirements. Ensure that solutions developed are done in such a way that they balance the workload across the Service Engineering organization, New Units (NU) and within the skill sets available for outsourcing. Responsible for carrying out engineering projects that provide novel or new solutions for the execution team and then being able to communicate these new solutions or innovations in a way that are reasonably easy to implement and work closely with commercial teams to ensure there is a marketable solution. Work collaboratively throughout AGT / IGT Services and other PS BU's on cost control and new product or solution initiatives. Identify and develop personnel in the particular expertise areas across PS DO, with particular emphasis on AGT, consistent with capability and business requirements including use of strategic outsourcing opportunities. Support Product Safety and statutory reporting across AGT Services in conjunction with PG Engineering groups. Liaise across AGT Engineering on Process Procedures, Work Instructions and tools to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively. REQUIREMENTS: Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor s degree in the above listed fields and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Must have 4 years of experience with the following skill: Gas turbine core knowledge and core auxiliaries. Must have 3 years of experience with the following skills: experience in dealing with operational customers; experience coordinating with teams covering broad technical capabilities spread globally. Must have 2 years of experience with the following skills: domain knowledge including experience in Engineering Project Management through technical bid phase; experience with modification and upgrades to gas turbine driven packages supported by change control and design reviews; experience in integrated systems and processes to produce engineering solutions including product safety.
