AECOM is actively seeking an Oil & Gas (O&G) Environmental Senior Project and Program Manager specializing in the assessment and permitting of pipeline and midstream facilities, with a focus on FERC-regulated pipelines and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, for immediate employment within our Central Region. The primary work location is Houston, Texas, but may include coordination with 12 offices throughout the central region. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the US, and will have the resources of more than 3,500 regional staff available to assist in project delivery
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Planning or other related field
10+ years full time work experience in the energy field, preferably within the Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP), NEPA, natural resources management, water resources management, and/or cultural resources management consulting industry
Professional registration and/or certification, as applicable
Strong, current experience with major pipeline and integrated O&G companies providing IAP services, leading client engagement and development, and team building
Strong experience with selling, conducting, leading, and delivering environmental permitting services, including ability to manage projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface with clients
Existing, mature and tested client relationships preferred with ability to market and win work successfully and effectively for the team, office and region as related to the O&G pipeline and midstream sector
Demonstrated proposal writing skills and successful pursuit of competitive bids
Knowledge of FERC requirements and related experience with preparing FERC Section 7(c) resource reports and pre-filing process, environmental permitting, NEPA, relevant environmental regulations and processes, and related environmental considerations
Experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Section 404/401 permitting processes and State NPDES requirements and permitting processes, including wetland/waters of the US permitting, mitigation, and restoration
Experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing and mentoring staff
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated ability to manage projects to scope, schedule, and budget
Good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
Position requires that the candidate must be able to travel
Master’s degree in relevant field
15+ years full time work experience in related field, preferably within the IAP, NEPA, natural resources management, water resources management, and/or cultural resources management consulting industry
Experience managing and mentoring a project managers to coordinate an integrated and collaborative team sales and marketing approach
MS Project experience
Possession of any of the following certification(s): PMP, PWS, PE, etc.
