Role Summary/Purpose :
The Global Logistics Import / Export COE Leader is responsible for the global import and export strategy for M&C, OFE and TPS product companies in all countries in which BHGE operates.
Bachelor’s degree from in Engineering, International trade, Finance, Accounting, International business, Logistics, Supply chain, and / or Law from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience working with logistics & trade compliance
Minimum 10 years of experience working in a team-based global environment
Minimum 5 years of experience using PC-based trade compliance systems and trade content services
Desired Characteristics :
Membership in professional organizations, trade or user groups, and a pattern of regular attendance at industry conferences to enhance knowledge of trade compliance is preferred
Accredited zone specialist is preferred.
customs broker’s license is preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience working in the oil & gas industry
Minimum 10 years of hands-on information gathering, analysis and management reporting
Minimum 5 years of experience with environmental regulations
Fluency in foreign languages
Minimum 10 years of experience with global supply chain functions & initiatives
Good understanding of legislation and controls including but not necessarily limited to: Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.S. Export Compliance, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), anti-boycott regulations, Commerce Control List (CCL), U.S. Department of Treasury sanctions, processing under customs control (PCC), etc.
Knowledge of how digital businesses affects trade compliance (e.g., technical schematics, software, etc.)
Keen awareness of cultural differences and how this may affect both daily operations and internal communications regarding import / export compliance requirements
