GT Packaging Electrical Engineer
Essential Job Functions
Develop new products and maintain standard designs and documentation.
Perform analysis of cable sizing, interface placement, cable segregation and voltage drop.
Support Design Reviews and the Engineering Release Process.
Develop One Line and Three Line Diagrams, Wiring / Schematic Diagrams, Cause and Effect Lists, Point to Point, Assembly Arrangements associated with Electrical Control Panels, Top Box Assemblies and Terminal Boxes/Junction Box and Cable, Battery Systems and the specification of associated equipment.
Ensure functionality, safety and integrity of the electrical designs and compliance with appropriate codes and best design practices.
Perform certification analysis to confirm components selection satisfy international and local code requirements, such as NEC, ANSI, UL/CSA and EN/CE.

Bachelor’s / Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2 to 5 years of experience in Gas turbine packaging experience is necessary.
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
Solid oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Good communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards such as NFPA/ANSI/UL/CE is essential.
Computer proficiency in Word, Spreadsheet calculations is desired Specialized Knowledge / Skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Familiarity with web based design collaboration sites and drawing management systems.
Possess ability to understand interrelationship between systems and component equipment.
Stay abreast of new products, developments, technologies, procedures, and equipment.
Quick learner able to adapt to various customer standards Personal Work Attributes.
Must have strong customer focus and ability to work as a team.
Strong organization skills required
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office and Test Lab Environments. Occasional travel to Customer site.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
