Position Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: • We are seeking an energetic and experienced HR generalist with experience in learning & development, recruitment, intern programs, expats/Visa processes, ethics investigations, and knowledge of overall employment law and HR policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT: 50% • Assist and support with the design, development, and implementation of HR compliance and leadership training programs and CBTs • Develop surveys to assess the effectiveness of training, analyze the results, and provide recommendations for enhancements • Learn the Learning Management System (LMS) for course creation, data entry, troubleshooting, and ad hoc reporting RECRUITMENT: 20% • Identify and implement strategies for filling "hard to fill" positions • Participate in on-campus career fairs for interns and assist with logistics for the intern program • Serve as back-up administrator for the Applicant Tracking System (People Fluent) • Manage BU specific recruitment programs HR GENERALIST: 15% • Use knowledge of employment law and HR policies to conduct ethics and other employee investigations, develop recommendations for addressing problems identified and write final reports • Utilize workforce-planning tools to plan for staffing needs and knowledge transfer for key roles • Facilitate and deliver training on a variety of HR topics/initiatives • Anticipated travel: 10 - 15%  EXPAT PROCESSES/TRAVEL PERMITS: 15% • Serve as the subject matter expert on work permits, Visas, green card, and expat provisions • Track and maintain status of all employees working outside their US home base • Prepare and coordinate documentation with immigration attorney *Job level will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills and qualifications. Other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

EDUCATION: • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field

EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: • Minimum of 3-5 years of overall HR experience • Knowledge of state and federal labor and employment law, wage and hour and disability leave management • Knowledge of learning management systems, applicant tracking and HRIS systems (DuPont, PeopleFluent, and Lawson preferred) • Knowledge of travel requirements to Canada and immigration processes (a plus)

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable driving record to be insured to drive for the Company. • Willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Power user of HRIS software applications • Ability to use software applications in order to conduct analysis, accurately enter and retrieve data • Ability to collect and analyze data in Excel, as well as create and develop reports • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information both verbally and in writing with all levels of management • Ability to plan and organize work to meet established time lines and department schedules • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedule, focus attention on details and follow work rules

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Advanced use of Microsoft Applications (Excel) • Knowledge of the ADDIE process and Captivate (preferred) • Prior experience managing immigration process a plus • Worked in a corporate environment
