Contract position: Seeking a Master scheduler for a long term contract position. This person will provide subject matter expertise for the planning and guidance for major turnaround schedules.
Responsibilities for the Master Scheduler
Provide guidance and support, mentoring, coaching, and training
Assists in identifying industry best practices and tools. Ensure key P/S metrics are measured and reported, enabling continuous improvement and sustainability
Training, evaluating, and oversight on the development of a Dynamic Turnaround schedule.
Engagement with Long Range Turnaround Portfolio and Turnaround Management, ensuring credibility and value within P/S. This could include such things as auditing and supporting BUs or segments to secure resources.
Aids segments and individual Turnaround teams by supporting: providing input on the right resource(s) for S/P efforts; mentoring, coaching and training those less experienced or knowledgeable Turnaround professionals; interface with leadership when appropriate for insight on issues, concerns, or instill confidence on P/S efforts; auditing schedules or plans in such a manner to influence or direct credibility, control, and success.
Works closely with Cost and Estimating SME to deliver balance between cost and schedule aspect of Turnaround and portfolio management
Requirements for the Master Scheduler
Scheduling certifications such as SP from PMI and PSP from AACE or similar
Bachelors degree highly preferred
Experience scheduling turnaround project at large plants or refineries, preferably in the petrochemical industry
Turnaround size experience, small and large efforts of planning and scheduling,<$5M to $100M
Demonstrate able to train and coach others in Primavera P6
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time. This could be higher based on turnaround timing.
