Gyrodata Operations Asset Controller III in Houston, Texas

Job Function / Purpose

  • Supports all aspects of inventory & asset coordination for the assigned product line(s) or area/region. Responsibilities includes inventory management, verifying and investigating sourcing options, ensuring lead time deliveries, maintaining supplier verification list with Procurement Manager, and supporting operations.

Essential Duties

PROCUREMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generates orders for 3rd Party Equipment required for the operations

  • Maintains a history of all 3rd Party Transactions, Deliveries, Quality of Service and Inspection Certificates

  • Verify all invoices against current pricing terms

  • Maintains a Job Cost Analysis on all assets sent to location to help control/manage profitability

  • Ensures all tools are available and supported to support client jobs, including purchasing and leasing of subs, collars, mud motors, stabilizers and drilling components

  • Works with Procurement Manager to coordinate with the Accounting Department as necessary regarding changes to invoicing for client jobs

  • Works with District Manager or Operations Supervisors to coordinate with client representatives regarding which vendors are approved to provide tools for their jobs

LOGISTICS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive incoming shipments and track through accurate utilization of tracking software

  • Arrange all transportation for job deliveries

  • Generates all shipping documents

  • Processes all POs for 3rd Party Invoices

  • Ensure correct record keeping of shipping documentation, including import and export documentation

INVENTORY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the product line inventory and asset coordination including granting access of appropriate personnel, ordering parts and operational stock prior to depletion, and tracking items that are removed

  • Imports or adds all 3rd Party rental assets into database for tracking, pricing and utilization

  • Work closely with Operations and R&M functional groups to determine and maintain appropriate inventory levels, establishing minimum stock levels and order quantities with respect to lead times and demand

SUPPLY CHAIN GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create processes and document procedures and work instructions for product line inventory control

  • Create processes and document procedures and work instructions for product line inventory tracking of operating parameters, including but not limited to operating hours and conditions, wear conditions, build number, creation and maintenance of BOMs

  • Work closely with Engineering and R&M functional groups to help determine component longevity

  • Work closely with Engineering and R&M functional groups to ensure accuracy of documentation and workflows with regard to current and future product /component revisions

  • Coordinate with Inspection Companies to ensure all assets maintain current certificates

HSE Function

  • Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment

QA Function

  • Comply with applicable quality assurance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

  • Strong written and oral Spanish communication skills

  • Associates or Bachelor?s Degree in Supply Chain Management, High School Diploma or equivalent with Supply Chain Manager approval

  • 7 years or more experience in logistics, inventory control or supply chain

  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, OASIS, Agresso and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral Spanish communication skills

  • Some supply chain management experience

Working Conditions

  • The job is performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards. The job requires some physical exertion, including sitting, standing, occasional light lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The job requires operation of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, etc. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others and ability to meet deadlines.
