Position Description

• Work with crews loading/unloading railcars • Operate a variety of heavy equipment such as but not limited to, crane, front end loader, man-lift, track hoe, forklift, and hand tools • Diagnose problems and maintain a variety of bulk handling equipment • Assist in the transportation and movement of petroleum coke • Service and lubricates machines and equipment, operates repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications • As directed performs activities of co-workers • Performs work area housekeeping functions and helps in providing equipment maintenance to operational areas and equipment as directed by supervision

Position Requirements

• In order to appropriately perform the essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required • Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s driver license and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment • Must obtain Safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations • Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge • Heavy equipment operator’s certification for equipment being operated and when required is preferred
