Main Duties & Responsibilities
Creates, maintains, and responsible for the accuracy of the bill of materials, routing, and cost in all product codes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Set up and maintain item codes (raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods) and BOM.
2.Collect necessary information from inside sales and/or engineering, verify consistency (unit, weight, material) and units of measure
3.Create items codes in the respective IT system
4.Create BOMs and routings, work with plant supervisors to ensure BOMs are operationally correct and maintained
5.Validate all costs with cost accountant
6.Follow up and resolve variations in a timely manner
7.Cleanse databases such as duplicates, inconsistencies, performance, etc… on a routine basis
8.Work closely with engineering to input new bills of material as well as modified existing bills to support the engineering change process
9.Develop and maintain basic product knowledge.Keep informed of market, new products or services, basic technical information, product reliability and other general information of interest to the customer.
10.Communicates with Inside Sales, Accounting, and Purchasing departments on order delays or changes.
11.Offer and obtain assistance from peers or supervisor when needed.Maintain flexibility in performing other related task or functions as required or assigned.
12.Perform other related functions as required or assigned.
·Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Customer Order Processes – Symix System
·Have the ability to read and interpret prints/specs

·Good verbal and written communication skills

·Ability to type at an accurate speed
·Associate degree in technical field or equivalent 3 to 5 years related work experience.
·3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing and order processing
·Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; capable of listening intently; visual acuity to process paperwork.Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
